The Pipestoppers™ range of Aluminium Test Plugs are heavy duty, high temperature resistant for entries and exits from 1.5 to 36" (38 to 900 mm).
Suitable for arduous duties such as immersion in chemicals and/or higher temperatures.
Used for leak testing, isolation, sealing, stopping and purging pipework.
Variety of rubber sealing rings including Natural Rubber, Silicone, Nitrile, Neoprene, Viton.
Huntingdon Fusion Techniques manufacture Pipestoppers™ Aluminium Test Plugs and Stoppers to complement the Pipestoppers™ range of Nylon Expanding Drain Test Plugs and Stoppers.
Friction free washer to ease tightening of the wing nut is a standard feature.
Pipestoppers™ Aluminium Test Plugs and Stoppers are also available as a 'Double' Plugs.
All Plugs conform to British Standards BS8005 and BS EN752-4 for low pressure testing and sealing of pipes.

Synthetic rubber seals are available on the Pipestoppers™ Aluminium Test Plugs and Stoppers for petrochemical applications where greater resistance to a variety of materials is required.
The standard seals are made from natural rubber.

Each Pipestoppers™ Aluminium Drain Test Plug expands to suit a variety of dimensions within its 
Pipestoppers™ Aluminium Double Plugsrange.
Simple to use, Pipestoppers™ Aluminium Test Plugs and Stoppers merely need inserting into a pipe or other opening and the wing nut to be turned clockwise.
Effective sealing is simple. The rubber ring will expand and provide a positive seal.
Tightening of the wing nuts are simple by the use of friction free washers.

Pipestoppers™ Aluminium Test Plugs and Stoppers are also available as 'Double' Plugs as alternatives for situations:
• Where an extra seal would be beneficial.

Aluminium Double Plugs will not 'butterfly' in these circumstances. (Spin on their own axis.)

1.0 Can the plugs be used as a permanent stopper in pipes?
Pipestoppers™ Aluminium Test Plugs can be used effectively as a permanent stopper. The wings can be cropped to prevent tampering.
2.0 Will Pipestoppers™ Aluminium Drain Test Plugs withstand attacks from various acids, alkalis and chemicals.
Technical data sheets about the chemical resistance of different materials is available on request.
3.0 What if Pipestoppers™ natural rubber rings deteriorate in the presence of my special chemicals, gases or fluids?
Sealing rings are available, made from nitrile, silicone and viton rubbers which will resist attack by many harmful products.
4.0 What is the maximum working temperature for the Pipestoppers™ Aluminium Test Plugs and Stoppers?
The natural rubber rings can be used up to 80˚C (176˚F) in continuous use.
For higher temperatures, we manufacture rings made from silicone that can be used up to 300˚C (572˚F) and viton, which can be used up to 350˚C (662˚F).
Technical data sheets about the resistance of various rubbers to all temperatures and materials are available on request.
5.0 I have a hole to seal, where your plug won't quite seal well enough, but the next size up is too big. Do you have any in between sizes?
The user can extend the range of each plug by a few millimetres by using an exterior rubber seal on top of the ring provided.

6.0 Can I have the plugs made as a branded product?
Yes, we can supply the screw caps in your own house colours as well as black or white. Caps can be provided with your name, initials or logo on the cap.
7.0 What pressures can the plugs withstand?

Plugs can be braced to assist in greater stability.
Note: For effective sealing, internal surfaces of cavities must be clean and dry.
Some smooth surfaces may not be effective and may need to be roughened.
Pressure ratings may be affected by poor, slippery or dirty surfaces.
