Launch of new Tube and Pipe weld purge systems

Huntingdon Fusion Techniques has introduced the PurgElite® series of tube and pipe purging systems for diameters from 1 to 12 inch

It features a low-profile purge gas release valve that is required to purge the chamber between the two dams after they are inflated.

The new valve reduces to 1 inch the minimum diameter of tube and pipe that can be welded. It also allows manufacturers of stainless steel tubular systems to purge pipes locally rather than fill complete systems with large amounts of inert gas.

The system employs a synthetic hose that can withstand temperatures up to 1,292 degrees F.
